Social Bookmarking Made Easy - The Power of Social Bookmarking
By Marika on Jul 31, 2009 in Blog Tips
We all know that since Web2, social bookmarking is a major part of any internet marketing project. From the little single blogs to corporate official blogs, to all sorts of sites, everybody is heavily Digging, or using Stumble-Upon on their sites. And not only that, but we also know our heartbeat increases exponentially when we see that somebody else also bookmarked our site, either through Digg, Mixx, or whatever else we’ve used. Undoubtedly, the power of social bookmarking is big and as the internet is expanding more and more, it will become even bigger.
There are two directions of thought on social bookmarking: one which says that the more sites one bookmarks their pages on the better, while others say that your webpage or blog doesn’t need to be bookmarked at every single bookmarking site out there (and there are hundreds of them and counting), but the top 7-10 with a high PR (say 7 and more) are enough.
Well, I’ve tried it both ways, and I have to say that although at first I was bookmarking like crazy on all various sites, most of them never appeared in any Google SERPS and although the backlink was there, they never gave my site any real power. But, there WERE some that did! And what more, the pages that were bookmarked by more than one person (that is more than just moi), were ranking better on Google, were more popular than the other ones.
So I started looking into this and I learned which top 7 sites are really worth bookmarking your pages with. Not only that, but there is a way to bookmark you sites really fast! Imagine the time you save and the boost you get by:
- Bookmarking only to the sites that truly count
- Bookmarking them truly fast
- And as an added bonus, getting your site bookmarked by many other people which will propel it to the top of Google with your chosen keywords right away
If you want to know how, download this free guide to learn exactly how to achieve this. No opt-in necessary, it’s a simple pdf file that can be downloaded straight from here.

Hey Marika, Thanks for this. I’ve downloaded it and will try it out for my website http://www.your-passion-coach.com

I realize this is an old post - and that was August! It is a pity that Wordpress doesn’t have some sort of integration with blogger (I have the same issue when I go over there) but I believe they’re working on making it easier. Since I wrote this post things have changed - I should update it!
