Some more musings on being whitehat all the way

I’ve taken a decision, which most probably will cost  me more work, however will yield me better results in the long term.

I’ll be using mostly article marketing to promote my sites. I have already cancelled my membership at Blog Blueprint and while I originally thought to jump on the bandwagon with Linvana, I’ll also stay away from it. The reason? In part one of John’s audio posts on the Xfactor forum that opened my eyes to ethical marketing, which sadly very few internet marketeers have (John Xfactor is one of the few people that I consider personally ethical marketeers), and in part just knowing that I’m doing the right thing, without trying to trick Google. Knowing that you’ll rank well in the SERPS purely the whitehat way with proper SEO and backlinking strategies is something really to boast about :D

So basically I will be using 90% article marketing (posting at Eza and other places) to get high quality backlinks, I will post a few press releases (I have already outsourced my first one, I hope the quality will be good), will continue to blog comment, manually as I did before. Basically I will try to be as transparent in what I do as I can. And just as before, I will avoid using profile links ala Angela  & gang. I just find them too spammy in nature. If I had a forum and I had to take care of all the spammers that join just to have a backlink, most probably I’d have closed the forum and run it by invitation by now. Just sayin…

  1. I like your style — right on!

My first post at my blog, The Average Genius (dot net), goes over the fact that I hate internet marketing…only because of all the black hat and hype.

I, too, *love* John, he’s definitely an amazing thinker 100%.

So, seeing you’ve reviewed Magic Submitter (I was on the beta as well), I’m wondering how you’re going to be using it?

My preliminary thought is that all Ezine submissions in particular need to be done on their own — EZA doesn’t play around with dupe or spun content, and it’s not worth losing your account there…

Just a thought. So glad I found your blog (I have a Google Alert set to certain keywords to find like-minded folks).

I’ll have to catch up reading here — I’ve only just found you and really appreciate what you have to say.

  2. Personally I won’t be using any automated software for posting to the major article directories. They are a league of their own and warrant special attention. So when it comes to Eza, or Goarticles or Articlealley and the likes, it’s all manual for me.

And yes, make sure that to Eza you really post good content, they are very quick to can you if you’re posting PLR or dupe content and such.

  3. Definitely on the EZA — I have a platinum membership there and don’t use dupe content (for anything).

The submitter is only good if you know about these by-laws for the various directories, using John’s style of marketing, I’ve been able to get about 100 or so backlinks, esp. from ArticlesBase for some reason. EZA doesn’t seem to be syndicated insofar as it’s fodder for scrapers — but their PR carries the day.

  4. I use magic submitter and I think is the best yet. I also use magic rewriter which has it is also a great instrument for me. I also rewrite my articles to be more than 50% rewritten and they get accepted in many articles directories.

Thanks for your input on Xfactor forum.
