Dofollow and Keywordluv now enabled

To celebrate my ‘independence‘ I have enabled Dofollow and Keywordluv on this blog. All valid comments are dofollow, which means that the link back to your site is counted by Google.
Also you can now have an anchor text in your link thanks to Keywordluv. If you already know how this works, go ahead and comment (I will delete spam though as I won’t have my blog become a link farm). If you don’t know what Keywordluv is, let me explain briefly.
Usually when you comment on a blog in the name field you add your name. Some people add their keyword instead but this type of comment is usually deleted by webmasters as it clearly screams ’spam’. Keywordluv simply allows you to add your name AND your anchor text to one of your keywords right next to it in the comment. The anchor text will be the link back to your site. This is how you use it:
In the name field instead of typing John or Alex or Jordanne, you now can type John@internet marketing. Because one of the next fields is where you add your own website, that field is used to take the ‘internet market’ part of your name and link it back to your site. So now it will look like: John from internet marketing
If your comments are simply ‘well done, great job’, ‘I like you site’, and doesn’t add anything to the discussion, your backlink from here will be very short lived

Keywordluv is a good thing to have on your blog. I have it enabled as well on my blogs. I just monitor the comments to weed out the spam.

This is a great plugin but I find that some blogs have comment warnings telling you to only enter your name in the the name field yet have keywordluv enabled. Does this mean that you are not allowed to add yourname@keyword in the name field? If I put yourname@keyword will they delete my comment. If so why have keywordluv enabled?

I have been commenting on blogs with the keywordluv plugin now for about 2 weeks now, and I have seen my keywords moved up in the search engines from nothing to about 300 down on the list. This isn’t good, but at least it is a start.

Congratulations on your independence. I know how you feel. I have now been out of the rat race for nearly two years and it is still a great feeling. I too am my own boss and have turned to internet marketing to make my living. It is definitely the way forward. However, you need to work hard and be patient as results do not always come immediately. Good luck in the future.

Switching to dofollow comments is definitely a good idea; visitors will be more stimulated to posts comments and create value for you and your other readers. I think more people should follow your example…

There’s so many websites who use the comment section of their blog to withold link juice from other sites…I cant help but feel that if everyone embraced the dofollow philosophy then it would be much fairer on everyone!
