Passed 500 Euros from Adsense this month
By Marika on Jul 1, 2010 in Making money, My Progress
Well I did it, I just finished last month with 511 Euros to be exact. Yes yes I know most of you will shake your heads and say that it’s not much. And indeed, it’s not. However if you’ve seen my progress since I’ve started this blog, it’s quite a big jump from my first $120 in Adsense that I did after being 9 month online and struggling to get that first Adsense check.
And that was last November. So in just half a year I managed to increase my earnings by quite a lot when you look at it % wise. Which dayjob you can think of that will increase your salary with at least $100 a month, and that every month? Because don’t forget that 511 Euros are $630, so it is a steady increase of around $100 (more or less) per month. And this only from Adsense. You usually have to wait one year (and in some cases 2 at some companies) to get a measly 5-7% increase in your salary. Not fun! I’ve been there, done that, even waited 3-4 months after the time to get my increase, and when I finally got it, the boss made me feel like he did me a favor *groan*. So yeah, when I see that my earnings do increase - albeit slowly - every single month, I do feel darn proud that I am achieving something. And all this doing pure white hat marketing, with things that work all the time, without having to be afraid that some of the methods might not work later on.
Also my Amazon sales started to increase as I am creating a few Amazon product review sites which are now ranking and start to make me sales.
And with the sites that I am flipping for quick cash, I can get by. Not yet at the level of my previous job’s earnings, but I’m getting there, and that only after half a year of starting my life free of any day job headaches, problems and annoyances. And this is why I am working every day harder and harder to bring my sites to page 1 and position 1 at times (it can’t be achieved every single time due to the competition, but I can do it more often than not), so my next month’s earnings will surpass this one’s and I’m hoping that by the end of the year I can safely say that I’m earning around the level of money I was around at my last day job.
And don’t forget, online marketing IS a business and every startup business is difficult. When you start an offline business, the first few years are usually a bust until you can really start to see some profits. With IM you can see this that much faster and the startup costs are so much lower too. All you need is a few months go out less, tighten your budget a bit and work hard. That’s all it takes, really…
P.S. And now for a shameless plug to something that I dearly love: If you were on the fence about joining Link Dozer but were not sure, now is the time to do it. First of all congratulations on your milestone. I can’t agree with you anymore on how long it can take to get some traction and start to see some REAL results. It can be so frustrating, no? I wish you luck on increasing your salary by $100 every month. Before you know it you be increasing by $500.
Keep at it.
