ezArticlelink.com - Why It Didn’t Work For Me And Might Not Work For Your Either
By Marika on Mar 21, 2010 in Reviews
Me being the forever tester of new products and services, I’ve tried ezArticlelink.com last month and canceled today. And here is why.
Basically this is a membership program where you add your sites (definitely NOT your big moneymakers!) to the system which then creates on them an article directory. In theory (and even practice for many) this is good. Many people have throw-away domains that are worth not much, no high PR on them, lots of info and .ws that they can use for this.
In return for adding these domains to the system, you get as many post only domains that will be used for you to write articles about and have your 1 backlink somewhere within the body of the article. If you are a gold member, once you have 21 domains added as article directories, you can have apparently an unlimited number of post only domains in the system. Plus for each article that you write you will get 100 bonus points that you will get 100 backlinks to any domain of your (even if it isn’t in the system). Basically these bonus points will be added in the sidebar of the page where some article is posted. Eventually these will be indexed and the backlink will count.
Why though I just cancelled this membership? Two reasons really.
1. I”m a site flipper. Even though I’m not flipping as many sites as before, I still sell my sites to a couple of regular customers (outside of Flippa) that request every month a few sites. My main reason for joining this membership was to add new backlinks from different C class IPs to my sites, which eventually I will flip. However here is the caveat: in order to keep the backlinks (from articles, or bonus links, or whatever) in the system, the site needs to remain at least a post-only domain. To be honest, once I flip I site, I don’t want to deal with it any longer. By default the new owner takes care from now on of getting additional backlinks to the site. But if I remove the site from the system as soon as I sold it, ALL the backlinks to the site are gone. Period. I can’t, in good conscience, sell a site that I know that dozens of backlinks to it will start disappearing for it starting the week after.
2. This is one of those membership sites whereby unless you remain their member forever, all your work is wasted. Why? Because as soon as you remove the sites from the system (just like in my case above), all the backlinks are gone. So all your hard work of 1 month, 2 month or even 1 year that you’ve done in writing articles for the system, in adding your domains to it as article directories will be nulled the moment you are out the door. Clever way to keep the member there forever. Who wants to lose hundreds of backlinks that have maybe accumulated within the year a person was member there and had to leave due to various reasons? I don’t think any sane person would want that.
So just a caution when you join this program. As I said, it looks like a good one, and truth be told, I actually started to see already 4 backlinks in Yahoo Site Explorer for one of my sites that is a post-only domain there. Sadly those links will soon be gone, as I’ve just cancelled my membership. Luckily all I’ve spent on this program was a total of $29 and about 1 full day of hard work that I spent on writing articles, creating the article directories and doing other small things on it.
If you ask me, if you want some serious backlinks that will stick no matter how long you’re staying with the them, you’re better of by joining more serious membership programs. These will not endanger your backlinks should you ever leave. Programs such as Linkdozer, Linkvana or Blog-Blueprint. I’ve already discussed Linkdozer in a previous post and you can access it for a hefty discount if you click on my banner at the top just below the header. I will discuss in a future post Blog-blueprint since I am a member there, it’s my first month actually with them. Linkvana I have yet to try, but as you know me, I will, without a doubt and then I will post my results as well

Thansk for sharing this information. I won’t wast anymore of my times on articlelinks.

I think you may have gotten confused with what they mean about cancelling and losing all your backlinks.
If you cancel the paid membership ($29/month) but STAY a free member, then all your links WILL still be in tact.
It’s only if you quit both the paid AND free memberships that you lose all your backlinks, at least that’s what the guys there have been saying

Oh, I don’t like the thought of busting a hump to get sites submitted only for all my domains to lose backlinks as soon as you leave the system. That doesn’t make any sense, backlinks are the reason a lot of people do stuff like this in the first place.
I’m more interested in your mention of flipping because me and a friend of mine have been looking into that.
