Top 3 site flipping products reviewed
By Marika on May 28, 2009 in Reviews
Somebody just asked me the other day, which is the best site or blog flipping ebook, or program, out there, as they don’t want to buy each of them, they just want one. And then I started thinking about it, indeed, which is the best one anyway?
Well, let’s see…
I will only review here those that I read or joined myself, and won’t touch something that I only heard about.
For me the top program ever is Kate’s Flip Mastery. This program just takes the cake. It’s not an ebook, but it’s about 5 of them, each specialized on another aspect of flipping. You also get some nice bonuses, and whatmore, if you joined her program, you have access to her forum, where other users share ideas, tips, ask questions about site flipping. And Kate is quite active over there, so you know your question will have most probably an input from her as well.
For me personally, I think one of the strongest aspects of her program was the very thorough explanation of all the technical steps involved AFTER the sales: domain transferring and particularly transferring your blog. Yieks, how I used to hate that! But it’s not only that, Flip Mastery is really indepth on everything mentioned in the table of contents, starting from The Many Faces of Website Flipping, Setting Up Shop, Grow your Customer Base, The Anatomy of a Successful Listing (now that’s a valuable one!), right onto Advanced Flipping and Making the Deal. And that is only in the main course, Flip Mastery. The Blog Mastery explaines very detailed Wordpress setting up (tons of screenshots here!), selling and after selling. Then you also have Domain Flip Mastery, PLR Flip Mastery, and a few bonuses. This program is a serious flip course, I highly recommend it! Go get it, if you’re interested in learning site flipping!
Second, although not an ebook per se, I’d say The Niche Blogger is a very good course on site flipping. How come, you’ll ask? Well, The Niche Blogger is an ongoing program, whereby Amy posts every single day a new lesson for us to learn. Each most is another subject coming. And months 7-8 all deal with site flipping. Now, why I recommend Amy’s site particularly, while only 2 months worth of site flipping material is uploaded (although think about it, that’s about 60 lessons!), is because Amy teaches one how to start a Wordpress blog from scratch and very indepth at that!
That’s how I actually learned to set up my blogs correctly to benefit the most of SEO. Flipping for me started later on. Although all site flipping courses teach you the basics of setting up a blog, none go so indepth as Amy does, simply because her course is not ALL about site flipping, it is about giving birth to money making blogs for the long term, for getting residual income. And once you learn that right from Amy, you can go ahead and learn site flipping way easier.
Seriously, some sites I’ve seen sold at Sitepoint, I’d be ashamed to list, after all I know now from what I learn from The Niche Blogger. I mean, think about it. Somebody will get your site, and they will start using it. And eventually will wisen up that they paid money for something set not only incorrectly at times, but totally inappropriate. So if you’re into blogs in general, Amy’s course is the way to go!
Third, I am torn between the Blog Flipping Fool and Flipping Fool, both are solid ebooks, and though the names are very similar, they are not the same product! As a matter of fact, I bought Blog Flipping Fool ages ago as a WSO at the Warrior Forum. There was a thread on that forum on how Tommy sold some of his sites on Sitepoint and he would report back his results. It was a fun project to see and I do have some nostalgia there, because the Blog Flipping Fool was the first one of its kind of me, it connected me with the notion that blogs can be sold. So of course I’m partial to it
The Flipping Fool, this is an ebook by Vadym, and this is also a nice solid introduction to site flipping. It goes into Picking the Right Niche, Choosing the Correct Keywords (very important!), setting up the blog, get traffic to it the easy way, then sell the blog. I have to say though that if I didn’t have Kate’s program, I’d be lost with Vadym’s Flipping Fool in terms of getting the blog to the new owner. And that’s really one of my gripes with most of the ebooks: although they go quite deep into other aspects of site building, and even the site flipping per se, they don’t explain in detail the technicalities involved in actually getting the site to the buyer, which is crucial, specially if you haven’t done this before, it does get really intimidating!
Of course, if you are more technical in nature, or you’ve already transfered a blog, maybe from your own hosting ot the new, then there’s no problem here for you. But truth be told, whenever I flip a new site, I keep opening over and over again those very relevant pages in Kate’s Blog Flipping Mastery (one of the ebooks in her Flip Mastery Course), to get those very detailed step by step instructions with screenshots on how to transfer the site. They’re a true lifesaver for me!
A notable mention is also Flip Ace, which is currently only sold as a WSO at the Warrior Forum. I’ve also bought this, and it does have nice, solid information in it.
So there you have it, the top 3, or 4 site flipping products, coming from my perspective, based on what I’ve purchased so far. If you ask me, I’m not sorry about having bought any of these. Obviously there is a lot on site flipping, be it a blog or regular site, and each of these books tought me something new, something that the others didn’t mention, or didn’t clarify enough. Some are there for teaching you how to make a quick flip, and others, how to bring your site to income first, and then sell it for a fatter profit. I learned lots from all.
